Representatives Lantos and Ros-Lehtinen Introduce H.RES. 36 in Support of the Independence of Kosova in the 110th Congress

The Albanian American Civic League, headed by its president, Former US Congressman Joe DioGuardi and Balkan Affairs Advisor Shirley Cloyes, successfully lobbied the 110th Congress in its earliest days to get HR 36 introduced, a bill that supports Kosovar independence from Serbia.

Cloyes and DioGuardi have been working tirelessly for decades advocating for Albanian causes and Kosovar independence. This Bill comes just a few weeks before the Serbian national elections and before U.N. envoy Martti Ahtisaari releases his concept for Kosovar independence.
